California Makeup Artist License: Requirements & Career Paths

I am just wondering if you need a License to do makeup in California. I am a college student and have a passion for makeup artistry. I plan on going to cosmo school but I dont have the money at this moment.

How exciting that you are interested in the beauty world of makeup.

The possibilities of this industry are endless. Once you are trained in this beauty world, you can work as a Makeup artist,or as a Commercial Ad makeup artist in TV also in Reconstructive Correction makeup to help cancer patients, people with birthmarks, etc.
You do need training in makeup and after a few months you will be rewarded with a certificate. If you are on a tight budget, you could always apply at a Macy's counter. They will train you.

I applied to Sallie Mae for a loan and that is how I could attend Catherine Hinds Institute of Esthetics in Massachusetts.
They have been wonderful to me even though I graduated - they help with my Continuing Education to keep up with the newest trends.
