Question I just found out a roommate has herpes. Over the year we have shared a bathroom, towels, soap, etc. Am I ask risk?

I doubt it highly. Under any circumstances it isn't wise to share cleaning items for transmission of bacteria and viral infections. Herpes is spread via direct contact with the virus to broken skin on the body. Only you know if this has occurred.
