QuestionI'll give you as much details as I can about my skin color, and would just a few suggestions on blush color. My hair is dark brown, brown eyes, medium-light skin, olive/yellow toned. When I pinch my cheeks, it looks like a medium pink color, but all info I can find on picking blush for my skin tone, suggests corals, peach, terracotta/bronzers, and says to stay away from pink. And other sources say to pick a match to your cheeks when they're pinched. I would like some personal suggestoins/advice from you and appreciate it very much. Thanks
AnswerHi there Andrea, thanks for your question.
As you say, information on the web can be very contradictory and confusing.
I think the best advice is to wear what you think looks the best on you. You know the best what makes you feel comfortable.
Each skin tone is different and difficult to determine by someone over the web that can't see you so I don't want to offer you anything hard and fast.
Having said that though, you may like to start with a liquid blusher called "Benetint" by a company called Benefit. I only suggest this because, being a liquid blusher, it reacts with the skin slightly differently to the powders or creams and is more versatile.
If you put quite a bit on, it's a rosy healthy pink but if you blend it in with your fingers, it fades to a more bronze, sun-kissed look. I don't usually promote particular brands, and I would still advise trying it before buying any blusher but from what you have described, that would seem to be a good starting point.
I'm just hoping that it is available in the United States. I'm here In London and it's certainly sold here so I'm hoping it's international.
I hope that's been of some help but I think it would help to try out a range and see what you feel is right for you.
Good luck,
Take care, Claire
