Questioni was wondering... i have slightly tanned skin...naturally i am slightly olive in color... i was wondering what the best colors would be for me?
and for some reason... nail polish doesn't seem to go with the rest of my hands... it makes my hands look dark and old and the polish looks unnatural as if a farmer girl decided to try to be pretty.. hmmm... lotion?
AnswerIf you have olive toned skin, avoid colors with a yellow base to it- and this includes classic red- if you DO choose a red, choose a blue-red. Anything with orange/yellow/coral tinges will make you look yellow ;)
As a tip, lighter colors will illuminate your pretty skin, darker colors will only accentuate how dark it is. Weird huh?
Try a color called "Passionfruit Poppy" by Creative Nail Designs- it's a nice hot cream pink, darker but not TOO dark. For a lighter, manicured look, try "Pink Chrome" by the same company.
Creative also makes a hand and body lotion called "Solar Silk," apply it morning and night, and you will banish the "farmgirl gets pretty" feel lol. ;)
