Black smokey eyes are the most stunning eye look you can ever go for. However, it is not possible to wear a smokey eye every time you decide to look your best. So, we at Stylecraze present the equally beautiful, but a little toned down Bronze Smokey Eye as an alternative. Bronze smokey eyes are perfect for daytime events as well as for those special evenings. So, let’s dive into the tutorial and get the sultry bronze smokey eye look!

  • Golden bronzey eye shadow from Wet N Wild Trio I’m Getting Sunburned
  • Wet N Wild eyeshadow single in Panther
  • Bourjois Khol & Contour eye pencil in Ultra Black
  • Oriflame Beauty 2FX Mascara
  • Eye makeup brushes

Before You Begin:

As with any makeup, start with a clean canvas. Wash your eyes and face to ensure that they are squeaky clean. Now, follow the below steps:

  1. Apply an eye cream to moisturize the eye area. Do not forget the lower lash line. The eye cream will ensure that the makeup adheres well to the skin and does not emphasize any dryness or fine lines.
  2. Apply a primer to the eyelid and the lower lash line. Blend it well. The primer will help the eyeshadows stay longer and appear vibrant. I have used a primer without any tint. For pigmented lids, apply a primer with some tint in it to cover the pigmentation.
  3. Define and color your brows using an eyebrow pencil in medium brown.

Bronze Smokey Eye Makeup Tutorial:

Now that the eyes are prepped and ready for the eye makeup, let’s get started with smokey bronze eye makeup tutorial!

Step 1:

Apply a cream base in bronze to the eyelid. Apply the same to your lower lash line as well. This will form the base of our eye look. Blend it well with a dome shaped smudging brush to eliminate any harsh edges.

Step 2:

Take a matte medium brown eyeshadow on a fluffy blending brush and apply it to the crease area. Now, with the same brush, blend the edges of the bronze cream base softly and smoke out the brown eyeshadow above the crease to give a smokey effect to the eye makeup.

Step 3:

Take any flat eye shadow brush and pat the golden-bronze eye shadow on the eyelid. Focus more on the inner and the center lid. Take the fluffy blending brush again and blend the edges of the bronze eyeshadow to make the colors look seamless.

Step 4:

Apply a matte black eyeshadow to the outer V area of the lid. Take a tapered blending brush to blend out the black eyeshadow. Apply and blend more black eye shadow to intensify the look.

Step 5:

Bring back the golden-bronze eye shadow and apply it on the lower lash line. Take the matte black eyeshadow on a pencil brush and smoke out the bronze eyeshadow on the lower lash line. Connect the black eyeshadows on upper lid and lower lash line to elongate the eye shape.

Step 6:

Now, take a black eye pencil to tightline your upper and lower lash lines. Also, use the eye pencil to draw a thin line on the eyelid. Don’t waste time trying to be precise as we will smudge it using the black matte eyeshadow in any case.

Step 7:

Apply any shimmery highlight to the tear duct area. Now apply any matte highlight to the brow bone.

Step 8:

Curl your lashes and apply any mascara of your choice. Since my mascara is both lengthening and volumizing, I am skipping false eyelashes. You can apply false eyelashes if you want.

Here is the final look of bronze smokey eye makeup!
