I simply love the mellow brown and orange shades of autumn. There is something very romantic, yet earthy about these colors. And now that autumn is round the corner, sporting these colors as part of our makeup can really give us that fresh, earthy look. So, do you want to look fresh and different this season? Then, why don’t you try something ambitious? Yes, today I have created an eye makeup inspired by autumn to celebrate the joy and warmth of the season. If this look seems interesting, just follow this step by step tutorial to create your own autumn inspired eye makeup!
Just be patient and follow the steps as mentioned here and you cannot go wrong!
Start by moisturizing your delicate eye area with an eye cream. Then, apply a cream or liquid concealer to the under eye area to conceal pigmentation and dark circles. Set it with a loose powder to prevent creasing of the product. I used the Kryolan concealer and Lakme Face Stylist Compact Powder for this step.
Pick a creamy black eye pencil and apply it to the outermost corner of your eye. This step need not be neat as we would be smudging it later. Here I used the Maybelline Drama Gel Liner in black. It is best to use a creamy formula in this step as it will help in easy blending of the product.
Take a smudge brush or a pencil brush to gently smudge the kajal applied in the previous step. Do not pull the kajal towards the center of your eyelid, just slowly blur the rough edges of the kajal. If you do not have a smudge brush, you can use a cotton swab for this step.
Pick a matte black eyeshadow and apply it over the smudged kajal. Pat the eye shadow gently without sweeping it, as is usually done. If you want to intensify the eye shadow color, you can also wet the brush slightly with water. Then, pick a medium light brown eyeshadow in matte finish and apply it to the crease area of the eyelid. Softly blend the black and medium brown eyeshadow together with a fluffy blending brush.
Apply a medium orange eyeshadow to the crease area, just above the brown eyeshadows applied on the earlier step.
Now apply a bright and vibrant orange eyeshadow to the crease area, just above the brown and medium orange eyeshadows applied on the earlier steps. Then, apply a champagne shimmery eyeshadow to the brow bone area and also the innermost corner of your eyes to highlight and create a brighter effect to your eyes. If you wish to make the eye shadow pop and appear vibrant, you can apply a creamy white base prior to the application of the eyeshadow on your brow bone area. Then, pick a moss green shimmery eyeshadow and apply it to the lower lash line. Apply the same black eyeshadow to the outer corner of your lower lash line. Then, pick a fluffy blending brush and gently blend out all the eyeshadows softly for a smokey look.
Line your eyes with black liquid eyeliner. You can line it thickly or thinly according to your preference. Then, tight line and water line your eyes with a black kajal. Curl your eyelashes with mascara to complete the eye makeup look.
And that’s it! We are done! That looks gorgeous, doesn’t it? Do try it, not just to stay in sync with the latest trend but also to wow your friends! Once you get the hang of experimenting with different eye colors, there’s no stopping you! But remember, patience pays!
