Summers are hot and uncomfortable. But all is not bad with this season! Summers are also all about fresh and vibrant colors! Look around and you’ll see the summer colors in full bloom. This is the one thing about summer that I simply love! In fact, we too love splashing ourselves in different hues during these hot months, don’t we? Be it a dress, hat or nail polish – we love to deck up in summery colors to look fabulous even in the hot weather. When everything gets a ‘summer’ makeover, why not our makeup? Well, I love to make my makeup reflect the world around. And that is why I have created this tropical inspired eye makeup, which is perfect for people who love wearing bright and vibrant shades. If you are one of those ‘colorful’ people, hop on! This tutorial is about to take off!
Let’s start the tutorial, which will offer you the tropical eye makeup look during those hot summer days:
Start applying an eye cream to moisturize and relieve any dryness in the under eye area. Gently use the ring finger to apply and blend the product. Then, allow it to absorb and then apply your favorite concealer. If you have very pigmented eyelids, then it is best to use a corrector prior to the application of the concealer. Set the concealer with powder to avoid creases and fine lines.
Pick a creamy nude or white kajal to cover up your eyelid area. Use a smudger or pencil brush to gently blend the sharp edge of the kajal.
Apply a bright yellow eyeshadow in matte finish to the innermost corner of your eyes to highlight your eyes. This will help highlight your eyes better.
Pick a medium soft purple eyeshadow in matte finish to the rest of your eyelid area. Layer the eyeshadow just above the smudged nude kajal. Pat the eyeshadow and avoid the sweeping motion as always done to build maximum color intensity.
Then, line your lower lash line with a turquoise kajal. Pick a matte white eyeshadow and apply it to the brow bone of your eyes also. Then, apply the same bright yellow eyeshadow that we used in the previous step to the innermost corner of your eyes.
Now it is time to pick a bright cobalt and turquoise eyeshadow or liquid liner and apply it to the upper lash line and wing it outwards softly.
Then, layer a bright turquoise eyeshadow with a shimmery finish over the turquoise liner in the lower lash line to create a vibrant and highlighted look.
In this step, you should remember to blend the purple, yellow and white eyeshadows seamlessly to create a soft transition of colors. Gently create soft circular motions to blend it easily. Blending is an art, it will take some time to master it. But once you do, you’ll be a makeup whiz!
As the eye makeup is bright, it is best to avoid lining your eyes with black or brown kajal, but you can line your waterline with a nude kajal. To finish it up, curl your eye lashes and follow it up with mascara to create an illusion of thicker eyelashes.
Vivid colors—perfect for colorful summer days! This look reminds me of tropical forests, bright plumaged birds, and misty days! Perfect for day as well as evening parties, this look will surely garner you some attention! Yes, it is not for everyone, but if you are an adventurous soul, do try this look! Go ahead, give wings to your imagination!
