After a myriad of lust-worthy garments that satisfied our appetite for fashion, Isaac Mizrahi goes on a similar quest with its first fragrance, titled Fabulous. Find out more about this exciting initiative.
The upcoming months come with a lot of fab surprises not only fashion-wise as one expects but also beauty-wise. A lot of fashion houses are revving up their scent collections bringing season appropriate and timeless alternatives to the market. Promises for fabulous new products are pouring in and a surprising yet uber exciting debut stirs things up even more. After creating a variety of lust-worthy garments, from gorgeous silhouette enhancing dresses to sportwear and even sexy lingerie styles, Isaac Mizrahi is now trying its hand at fragrance creation, with its first fragrance 'Fabulous'.
Given that it took the designer almost thirty years to take the
leap, it was natural to wonder why the project wasn't done sooner.
Perfectionism and the desire to bring the very best to the market
seem to have been the underlying reasons: “I feel like if you get
married too young, it rarely works out. It’s the same thing with
this—you get really very few chances at [creating a scent.] You
have to get it right. There has to be care taken. That’s what all
these years of experience have brought to this. I really want it to
mean something and be special. Good perfumes are more cultural than
product,” the designer told WWD.com.
He strives for emotional response with its latest fragrance:
"Creating a fragrance feels like the last piece of the puzzle. I've
been designing clothes, accessories, housewares - everything for a
woman's lifestyle - for nearly thirty years. Fabulous is my
opportunity to offer women something to identify with on a whole
other emotional level." Given the name, we wouldn't settle for
anything less.
Developed by Mizrahi in collaboration with The Cloudbreak Group and
Firmenich, the new fragrance has a timeless allure, with a fruity
floral scent. The perfume first seduces you with top notes of
mandarin, nectarine and bergamot maintains your interest with
floral middle notes like jasmine, tuberose, freesia and peony while
base notes of sandalwood, vanilla and cedar wrap up this
sensational bouquet.
Aside from being extremely promising scent-wise, the new scent is
also aesthetically pleasing. With a simple bottle, a girly polka
dotted gold cap and an adorable pink bulb atomiser, the design
perfectly highlights the theme. The new scent will be available
starting with September 6, 2012 just in time for QVC's Fashion's
Night Out event and will retail for $78.00 (3.4 oz) & $65.00
(1.7 oz).
