Its good news for post menopausal women who can look 16 years younger by working out on a exercise bike according to a new study.
According to the new research women over 50 years who are regular frequenters to the gym could get as fit as when they were in their thirties with a long bike ride or a swim.
With regards to older women who were tested, the report revealed that regular cycling session for an hour, five days a week, showed improvement in their blood pressure and heart rate according to 'The Sun', apart from this their capacity to burn calories shot up to a 10 per cent.
Professor George Brooks, of the University of California, said: "The women in our study had the cardiovascular and metabolic capabilities of women 16 years younger"
"The results are very encouraging for exercise without weight loss."
