Is Malt Powder (stuff you put in milk shakes) a milk product?

Hello Mari!

  Thank you for your nutrition question.  I have good news for you.  Malt powder is not a milk product but a powdered malted grain, usually barley, but wheat, and rice may also be malted.   Malt is also made from sprouted grain.  Hope this has helped!
