Choosing Earring Nuts: A Guide to Matching Post Sizes

I want to make glue-on earrings.  I am buying 10mm and also 8mm posts.  They each have the "stem" that comes from it.  How do I know what sizemm earnut to buy for the stem?  Thanks

You can measure the post diameter with a millimeter guage, & order the appropriate back, or if you already have backs, some can be adjusted by opening the hole witbe post or pushing the hole closed with a solid post or the back of a drill bit or a large beading tool to make the hole smaller.
