Identifying Jo Anne - Jewels of Elegance Jewelry: 24K Gold Plated?

I have 2 white with gold colored boxed sets of rhinestone earrings and necklace/pin. They read "Jo Anne - Jewels of Elegance" on the inside of the box and one has a tag the reads 24k gold plated. I can't find any information on them, can you help?
P.S. The word Jo Anne may even be So Anne because the first letter is unusual. Thanks for any help.

Hello Suzanne and thank you for your inquiry. I have had jewelry boxed with this name before and tried to find out information on the designer. Unsuccessfully, I'm afraid. I imagine it is from the 1950's when costume jewelry designers were prolific and many of them were not registered or they weren't in business long enough to establish a following. Some brands were created just for sale or special promotion by a particular department store under a different name than then actual manufacturer such as "Coro" or Trifari and the only name they carried was the "store brand" name. Some of the pieces were very nice and some were substantially inferior to the more expensive brands. If I find out anything on the name, I'll let you know. Good luck and enjoy !
