Career Change to Jewelry Retail: Resources & Advice

Dear Bill & Sally- I'm considering a career change and need some advice. I have extensive sales experience but no inside industry knowledge.  What books /  magazines / online resources should I research in order to get my foot in the door with a respectable jewelry retailer?  Any guidance would be fantastic.  Thanks, Adam

Hello Adam and thank you for your inquiry. Many jewelry position are obtained by on the job training with either the retail end in a jewelry store or manufacturing end. Most of the manufacturing end positions in the US are in Providence, RI.
