White Gold Allergy: Solutions & Prevention for Sensitive Skin

my daughter has an allergy (blisters) when she wears here wedding ring (she is a newlywed).  Is there anything that can be put on the ring, a coating or something that will help?   Resetting the ring is not an option at this time..

Check the bottom top section of the ring, does it have a cavity where water and other elements can sit and react with her finger? If the ring is not solid under the top inside section this may be a problem.....if she is just allergic to the nickel in the white gold (if the ring is white gold) you may be able to Rhodium Finish the ring for a minimal cost and should help SHORT TERM, when it wears off the same thing will happen. You may try and use clear nail polish but that will also wear off, these are all short term solutions...the  best, as you said "its not an option" is to use a new ring with higher gold content such as 18kt or PURE Platinum...
