Black Opal Ring Replating: Is it Possible & What's the Cost?

I bought my wife a black opal ring from Australia last year but would like to replate the ring from white to yellow gold. Wondering if this can be done and at what cost since my local jewellery stores won't dare to do it with opal rings.

Hello,

Sorry for taking so long but I needed to talk to one of my jeweler clients to get there costs.  

It can be done but the opal should be removed so the ring can be polished by tumbling in polishing tumbler machine.  The cost should be around 25.00 to 35.00. Unless opal is hard to remove and reset which could cost more.
