Osmium Identification: Where to Get Your Find Verified

Hello, I am an avid treasure hunter with metal detectors, I found a rare metal that I believe is Osmium. Is there some place I can take it to verify this. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks Again Dave

Colleges and universities can be a wonderful resource for needs like yours.  Call the earth sciences department and leave a message with the secretary about your discovery, and chances are overwhelming that someone in the department will be thrilled to see you with your treasure.
