QuestionHello Bill and Sally, I have a tub of old costume jewelry from my mother-in-law and her mother. No one in the family wants it and I don't know what to do with it. I understand that some of it may have value as it is marked/signed. I live in central FL. Any suggestions on how to proceed? or who I can contact to possibly sell it? Thank you for any help you can provide.
AnswerHello Suzanne and thank you for your inquiry. Nice to hear from a fellow Floridian - we lived in Winter Park for 40 years before moving north to retire. Depending on how much jewelry you have, you might want to consider having an estate jewelry appraiser look it over to see if it is worth including in one of their sales. I can recommend one and their url is below. The appraiser's name is Renis Paton. Just copy and paste it into your browser address field and hit enter:

If you have the time to sell it yourself you might want to consider selling it at ebay.com auction. The process is very simple and you can look at the jewelry items already at sale to get an ideal of market price. They charge a minimal listing and final value fee.
There are also consignment shops in your area that will sell the jewelry for you charging a percentage (varies) of the sale.
Also if you can find a costume jewelry dealer that is interested in buying the bulk lot for one price. If you have any photos or a listing of the items, I may be interested in purchasing. Just email me personally at sallbill@suddenlink.net
Hope I've given you some ideas and good luck !
Sally
