Overcoming Stubbornness in Marriage: A Path to Resolution

Question
My husband and I have been fighting for about a year now.  Our problem is we are stubborn.  No one is willing to give in and make the first move to help our marriage.

Answer
Hi Laura~

Someone must be willing to give in, otherwise, it's going to cost you the marriage over time.  And then you'll both end up regretting that someone didn't give in and try to make the marriage better, and stop the fighting.

I would recommend that you seek some marriage counseling to help learn to fight fair.  And to figure out what's causing all the the arguing and fighting to start with.  It's worth doing whatever it takes to save the marriage.  Even if it means you're the one to take that first step.  I know it's hard to admit when you're wrong and say you're sorry.  I have a hard time doing that too.  I'm also very strong-willed and stubborn.
