My name is Jyoti. Actually i have a problem of irrregular periods. Yesterday i went to Gyne. She scanned & come to the conclusion that i have POS. Though I have irregular periods & weight gain too But not other symtoms like man hormone (hair gain in chin),Thyrod problem etc.
She gave me some bithcontrol pill. She told me that this is not very serious condition but in this case I have to first cure this.I have no child. Does it effect my fertility too (I read abt POS, its effects etc)? I'm 26 year old,married & no child yet.
Can this is really a very serious problem. Or this can be cure. I have not all the POS symtoms.
Plz advice me. My Gyne. Call me for next month chk up so that she can see the improvment. This is a 3 month course & she say not to worry.. Plz advice

Thank you for your question, as you have read up on this disease you will know all about it. That each time you produce an egg in the middle of your cycle so if this isnt fertilized it comes away in your period.
POS means that your ovary has fluid filled cysts on it so an egg cannot be released and these cysts can stop you getting pregnant.
Going on the Birth control pill, sometimes stops these cysts from forming, so that when you come of the pill, you may be able to produce an egg, and then have it fertilized and produce a baby.
There is no guarantee that this will work each time, but in most cases it does, you may be the one who it will be successful with. As you say you dont have all the symptoms so it could work for you.
