AnswerYour fingers become numb due to "Carpal Tunnel Syndrome", which is caused by pressure on the nerves in your wrist due to swelling around the artery and vein in your wrist. This is very common in pregnancy and is exacerbated by bending your wrist one way or the other while you sleep. It can be alleviated by either shaking your hand when you notice the numbness, or by purchasing a splint from the pharmacy and wearing it when you sleep to prevent you from bending your wrist during the night. After the baby is born, your wrist will return to normal. If you want to look it up, look up
