Understanding Baby Head Shape After Birth: Is a Cone Head Normal?

Hi. I was wondering why some babies have a cone shaped head when they are first born? Does this go away in the first few days after the baby is born?

Sometimes, as the baby comes down the birth canal, the bones of the mother's pelvis causes the baby to be cone-headed. This, of course, disappears within a few days. Babies born by cesarean section, on the other hand, are born with perfectly round heads.
