I wrote to you about 3 days ago asking about rollercoasters and you gave me great advice thanks you for that now i need to know about soda.
Before I became pregnant i drank about 48 oz of pepsi a day now i drink 2 glasses a day is that bad for the baby? should I cut down even more?
Answer -
You can have as much soda as you wish. Regular soda is fine. So is soda containing "Nutrasweet" since it is made up of two enzymes that are commonly found in your body. I would avoid any soda containig saccharine. Pepsi is fine. Certainly I would make sure that you urinate frequently.

Answer
The amount of caffeine in soda is minimal and will not cause any harm to the baby. Caffeine is also found in coffee, chocolate, tea, soft drinks. Three cups of "caffeine" is allright during pregnancy. HOwever, if someone gives you a box of chocolate, don't eat the whole box at one sitting. It is fine in moderation.
