i was wondering if my labor will be faster then my other 4 labors?i am now 38 weeks along.i am nervous because i don't know when to go to the hospital.last time i was there when i was only 2 or3 cms dialated.

Hello Heather. With baby 3,4,5,etc. the Pre-labor is usually long and frustrating. However, once active labor sets in, things often go quite fast.  Test your contractions by taking a very warm bath. If the contractions ease off, space farther apart and generally become less bothersome, go to bed and sleep. If, however the bath makes thing pick up- stronger, longer, closer together, labor has likely begun. You really don't need to rush to the hospital- wait until they are at least 5 minutes apart for at least an hour. Hope that helps- Cheri.
