Early Pregnancy Concerns & Options: Pre-cum, Late Period, and Next Steps

Question
Hi,
I am 27 yrs old and concerned that I might be pregnant from pre-cum. My bf and I didn't use a condom for the 1st min(then he put it on)and now I might be pregnant from pre-cum? Im taking a test this sat. The only symptom I have is sore heavy breasts but no sign of my period...it is 5 days late. The 1st day of my last period was Aug 28th. Anyways, I have a great supporting bf that I know will be by my side if worse case scenario happens and I need to get an abortion. I have been reading online about RU486 pill...which seems like a better option than the surgical. It scares me a little, I have read in some instances girls have died from it? But,I am in good health and not taking any other medications. I have also read that they do not know if the RU486 has long-term side effects like preventing future pregnancies?
This scares me thinking if I need to take this pill now; does this mean when I am married and ready to have kids this RU486 pill would prevent me from having a baby? Please give me your expertise on this topic.

THanks, and hopefully im just stressing and my period will come! but i need to be prepared just in case.

Answer
If your last period started on August 28, you would have ovulated around September 10. You could only have conceived if you had sex on September 9,10,11, or 12. If you conceived on one of those days (either by a full ejaculation or precum) the best time to take a pregnancy test is seven days after you miss a period. That would be on October 1. If it is positive, the best method of termination is surgical, at this time. The Ru486 works sometimes, but is very painful. I do not know, either, what the long term effects of it are, but, if it does not work you still have to have surgical intervention. The safest and surest method of abortion is a suction currettage.
