Pregnancy & Posture: Safe Movements During First Trimester


Question
Could you harm the baby or does your body compensate?  If you lay on your stomach or sit on your knees and lean forward can you hurt the baby?

When you are pregnant (early on first trimester) can you squish your uterous and fetus by leaning forward and cause damange to yourself and/or the baby?
Answer -
Normal activity should not do any harm.  Things like making beds, or cleaning that would cause you to lean foward should be just fine.

Early on sleeping on your belly won't be too harmful.  As you get bigger and your belly grow it will be almost impossible.
You should not sleep on your belly as you get larger even if you are able to because it can cut of the supply of air and blood to the baby.
Leaning foward for short periods of time should not hurt anything.
