QuestionI am 25 years old, this is my first pregnancy. The first day of my last menstrual period was 10/28/04.
Is it safe to drink caffeine free tea or coffee? If so, is there a limit of cups although it is caffeine free?
Thank You,
April Esen
AnswerThere is no limit on the amount of caffeine-free beverages you drink. However, you can also have regular coffee, tea, or chocolate that contains caffeine, as well, as long as you do not overindulg. You can have up to three cups or glasses per day. Remember also that caffeine is in soft drinks, as well (Coke, Pepsi, etc). There are no studies to show that caffeine is bad for use during pregnancy.
