Endometriosis Symptoms & Infertility: A Personal Story

I am 21 and have 2 children. My last normal lmp was 1-5-05. My doctor just recently told me that I have endo.Well for the past 7 monthes I have had severe abdominal pain,back pain exspecially 2 weeks before by period. And during my period it will feel like I have a uti and as soon as my period is gone so is the uti symptoms. well I have been trying to concieve and after my ovulation I didnt have any pains like usually before my period nothing just no pain at all. Well I started lightly bleeding on 2-5 where i can wear 1 pad all day long and it looks like I have only been wearing it a few hours. This bleeding had only been light and has never gotten heavy the only difference is it went from pink to dark red and stopped on 2-6 and I usually have a 7 day period this would be abnormal for me. My breast have been a little tender and have grown some. I was wondering what this could be I know I should take a test but if it comes out neg. could I have just had a cyst that might have ruptured and not really endo. (doctor never did a lythroscopy just diagnosed me by my pains) thanks in advance.

You appear to have had a normal period (it does not have to last seven days), so I doubt that you are pregnant. If you miss a period, the best time to take a pregnancy test is seven days after missing the period. If the test is negative, you are not pregnant. A ruptured ovarian cyst will not cause bleeding, but may cause some pain. Endometriosis is usually palpated by your doctor, but, as you know, diagnosis is not definitive unless actually seen on laparoscopy or laparotomy. If you have any doubts, take a pregnancy test and you will know for sure.
