Delayed Period While on Birth Control: What to Do?

My name is Amy I have one son 19 months old... my last menstrual cycle was january 26-31. I do take birth control pills but my period has not came yet do you think I should wait until the end of this month to take a test or I shouldnt take one because I do take birth control pills everyday maybe not on the same time everyday but I do take it everyday. Please let me know what you think.

If your last period started on January 26, then you were due for your next period on February 22. Since you are more than seven days late for your period, you should take a pregnancy test at this time. It is highly unlikely that you are pregnant if you have not missed any birth control pills and it is also common to occasionally miss a period. If the pregnancy test comes back negative, just wait to see if you get your normal period next month. Continue to take the pills on time.
