Thanks for your help.

Answer
Nowadays, many women do not attempt to start a family until their careers are started, and there are many more women over the age of 35 that are just becoming pregnant. As you age, more medical problems occur (heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, etc) and this can cause problems in pregnancy. Also, after the age of 35, there is more of a risk of chromosomal abnormalities (Trisomy-21, etc) and more vigilant fetal evaluation must be done during the pregnancy. However, I have many women who are pregnant and are over 35. I have several women who are over 45. If a woman has a regular period, she is most likely ovulating and should have no problem conceiving. If you have a 28 day cycle (from the first day of your period until the first day of your next period) ovulation occurs on cycle day #14. YOu can only become pregnant if you have unprotected sex on cycle day #13, 14, 15, or 16 each month.  However, even if a woman's period is regular and she is ovulating every month, there can be fertility problems (tubal blockage, poor sperm production, cervical infection, etc).
