Amniotic Fluid Leakage: What to Do During Pregnancy?

Question
28, 3 children, 36 weeks pregnant.
My question is about breaking/leaking of amniotic bag. I was on the toilet in the middle of trying to have a BM, I wasn't pushing as to urinate and I heard a small plop in the toilet. Not like the small splashes urine makes consistantly as it hits the water. I know it wasnt a BM becuase I didn't at that time push out for that to happen. Is it possible that was some of my amniotic fluid leaking becuase of a small break/tear in the bag? If so; will it happen again so that I will be sure and not rush to the hospital or my OB/GYN for no reason.
Thank you for your time and expert opinion on this matter.

Answer
If you break your water, there will be a constant leak of fluid from the vagina. It will not be a "plop" and, once it starts leaking, it will continue to leak. It may be a trickle down your leg, or it may be a gush of fluid, but it will not stop. I do not know what came out when you were having a BM, but it does not sound like you broke your water.
