Understanding Cramps Without a Period: Causes & What to Expect

Question
Hi there. I am 27 years old, no kids but married. I am not on any birth control nor using any means of bc. My last period was on the 29th of August, and I ovulated the 11th of September. I had sex several times during that weekend. I was due to start my period yesterday, but still haven't today. I have been bloated for 2 weeks, which is very un-normal for me. I am always on time. I have had short cramps simmular to menstral cramps all weekend, but yet they feel different and are only on my right side. I have noticed an increase in bumps on my breasts. I haven't taken a test yet to see if it is positive, but was wondering if I can have cramps but still be preg?

Answer
It is common to have cramping throughout pregnancy. If you had sex around the time of ovulation, and have not gotten your period yet, the best time to take a pregnandy test is seven days after missing your period. Since you were due for your period on September 25, take a pregnancy test on October 2 and you will know for sure.
