AnswerUnfortunately, it is very common for fibroids to grow back after a myomectomy. You cannot decrease the amount of estrogen your body produces. However, you probably should not use exogenous estrogen (birth control pills, hormone replacement therapy, etc). I doubt that the enlarged and tender breasts were due to the operation, but I was only mentioning that estrogen can cause tender and swollen breasts. If you have any doubts, discuss it with your gyn.
