Questionmy doc appt was dec 6, he was very active doc couldn't get his hb and sent me to L&D for monitoring...I was having contractions every 2-3 minutes and dilated almost 2 centimeters...the doc gave me a shot in my arm to stop contractions,it worked and I went home. since I have 5 weeks left she said it was early yet but in two more weeks be ok. my question is knowing I am dilated,can I take a bath?

AnswerI usually do not allow my patients to take a bath or go in a pool for the last 4 weeks of pregnancy. Since you are already dilated, it would be better if you did not take a bath in order to prevent the possibility of infection. YOu can, of course, take a shower.
