Now that sounds interesting, doesn’t it? Then why any more delay! Go ahead and give this post a read!
There are hundreds of reasons you should opt for a detox bath. But what exactly does a detox bath do? A detox bath:
So, you thought detox baths were a costly affair? Well, we are here to prove you wrong! You can get the perfect detox bath at home! How? Here’s a step by step guide to help you along!
Going for a detox bath is the perfect way to de-stress and unwind. Make sure you have at least one hour in hand. One hour is enough to complete an elaborate detox bath procedure. In fact, you would need forty minutes for a detox bath – twenty minutes for flushing the toxins out and another twenty minutes to ensure nutrient absorption. You can devote the extra twenty minutes for preparing the bath and after-bath skin care.
Now fill your bathtub with warm water. The water should be warm, and you need to be comfortable in it. Make sure it is not scathing hot. Also try to use chlorine filter, if possible. If the bath water has not been filtered, adding a cup of baking soda will do the job as well.
Zero in on the detox bath recipe you want to try. There are a number of them out there. But we recommend an Epsom salt detox bath. It effectively eliminates toxins and rejuvenates the body. Just add two cups of Epsom salt to a standard bath and pamper your senses.
If you are in love with essential oils, add 8 to 10 drops of your favorite essential oil to the bath. Eucalyptus, Lavender, Tea Tree or Ylang Ylang would be the perfect choice. You can also add fresh herbs like mint, chamomile or lavender flowers. You can add two tablespoons of ginger to induce sweating as well. Adding ginger makes you sweat profusely and works wonders if you want to get rid of flu or cold!
Swish the components in the bath and step inside the tub. Aim for at least a forty minute soak.
After the bath, step out of the tub carefully and make sure you drink plenty of water to prevent weakness and dizziness. It is a good idea not to eat anything immediately before or after the detox bath.
If you want to further jazz up the bath experience, try scented candles and soft music. Lighting candles and playing soft music would create the perfect spa-like environment. And all that without spending thousands at an expensive spa! What more can you ask for?
Let your body and mind be soothed and purified by a blissful detox salt bath. When do you plan to try it out? Or have you already given it a go? How was the experience? Share with us, in the comments section below!
