I had unprotected sex for the whole month of march. please help...

Answer
It is highly unlikely that you could have becme pregnant if yuou were taking the DepoProvera because it has a 99.9% efficacy in preventing pregnancy. I'm not sure that I understand exactly when you took the shots. You said that you started your fist shot in March 2005. If you had the shot in June,September,December, but did not have a shot in March, it is difficult to know when you ovulated, if you ovulated at all. DepoProvera has three annoying side effects. It can cause a complete cesation of your monthly periods, it can cause irregular periods, and it can cause unpredictable spotting or bleeding at various times of the month. If you were due for your shot on March 1, it is unlikely that you have conceived, especially since your HCG test was negative. If you still have doubts, wait two weeks and take another pregnancy test (preferably a blood test for HCG). If the results are less than 5, you are definitely not pregnant. Since spotting and staining are common with the use of DepoProvera, I don't know why you stopped the shot unless you desire pregnancy. If you think your belly looks like a 3-4 month pregnancy, you can also take a sonogram to see if there is any fetus in your uterus. Good Luck.
