Gentle Exercises to Encourage Baby Head-Down Position

Question
I am currently 31 Weeks pregnant. My little girl is laying transverse with her head on my left side and her feet on my right. This has become extremely painful for me. I wanted to know if there is any exercises that I can do to help her move head down? This would help me with my pain and my fear of having a c-section... I really want a natural birth again. Thank you.

Answer
You will see theories about prenatal exercise to change that baby's position, but most are anecdotal at best.

One technique that has a good track record for getting your baby to move head down is done by a prenatal Chiropractor. Essentially, the aim is to align the pelvis and uterus so that the forces on the pelvic and uterine ligaments are even. (It's common for the pelvis to tip in pregnancy, and sometimes it will twist a little bit too.) Centering and aligning pelvic region creates more room in the uterus for the baby to move into the proper position.

Ask you OBGYN for a referral for a Chiropractor in your area who specializes in prenatal and postpartum issues.
