QuestionI had lower lumbar surgery 2 1/2 years ago. I would like to have another child but am afraid of any further damages that might occur. Are there any lower back strengthening exercises I can do to prepare myself before, during & after pregnancy?
AnswerSorry, I clicked the wrong button.
You can do quite a bit to strengthen your core and build stability before your next pregnancy, and then work to maintain that core strength during pregnancy to protect your back.
Many women love the exercises in my book, "Exercise After Pregnancy: How to Look and Feel Your Best" and DVD, "Bounce Back Fast! Post Natal Core Conditioning" as they really explain how to develop core strength/dynamic stability for pre-pregnancy, and many continue to do them years after pregnancy too.
