If the need be i can go to the plains in the last 2 months. but is it fine to spend the initial pregnancy here??? please help.
AnswerSince your body is well acclimated to the very high altitude that you are living at, you should be able to carry a baby to term with out problems. If you engage in moderate level exercise now, before you become pregnant, then your aerobic capacity will increase, putting you in a better position for when you do decide to become pregnant.
Since there is limited oxygen at the altitude where you live, I suggest that you do not engage in aerobic exercise after you become pregnant. It's possible that during your pregnancy that you will feel the lack of oxygen more acutely, especially in the last half where your baby's need for oxygen accelerates, and if this happens your doctor might advise you to live at a lower altitude until after your child is born.
The human body response to high altitude varies widely, with some acclimating quite easily, and others not at all. Speak to you doctor about your concerns, and develop a pregnancy plan that insures the best outcome for your hoped for child.
