QuestionHi,
I have undergone LSCS on feb 2, 2011. My belly became bulged after my C- section. How to reduce?
If I use belt now, wil it be reduced?
I am getting back pain after delivery. How to avoid it ?
Thanks,
Azisha
AnswerTo flatten your abdominal wall, you need to start by building a lot of strength into the deepest abdominal muscle, the Transverse Abdominis, or TvA. The TvA is our body's internal "girdle" and when contracted, compresses the abdomen.
Then after the TvA has become stronger, you need to do specialized postpartum exercises that train the muscle to function properly as a stabilizer. This will not only flatten your tummy, but will provide core strength and stabilization which will reduce your back pain.
Abdominal binders and belts will actually make your core muscles weaker over time, and I do not recommend them.
