Back Pain During Early Pregnancy: Causes & Potential Concerns

I am only 6 weeks pregnant, and I have been having a dull pain around the part of my back right under my ribs that goes down sometimes and sometimes feels like it's going around to the front a little bit. What could this be?

The back pain under the ribs u described can be either due to referrerd rheuamtic, musculoskeletal or renal reason and is most likely not related to pregnancy. If u have burning micturition, frequency or urgency at urination, this increases the possibility of urinary tract infection. If so, this should be treated without delay since it may cause preterm labor. Simple analgesics may be useful for other reasons but u should consult your caring physician to describe a drug which does not affect pregnancy at that early time. I cannot advise since i live out of usa and not aware of the drugs available there.
