Understanding Ovulation Timing & Cycle Length: Fertility Charting Support
QuestionMy hubby and I are planning to TTC in September/October and in the meantime I am charting my temps and CM so I know when I ovulate when the time comes to actively TTC. However, my normal cycle is 32 days long, and I noticed that I ovulated on day 20 of last cycle and got AF on time and lasted 5 days. I am now on day 9 of my second cycle (of charting my fertility) and my temperature has remained elevated. My temps have actually gone up. What could be causing my elevated temperature? I have been having trouble with my sinus' and allergies and have been taking benadryl for the past week to alleviate symptoms. Could this be causing my elevated temps?
AnswerElevated temperature usually indicates one of two things: pregnancy or illness. If you are not sick, I would take a pregnancy test. Benadryl doesn't effect temperature as much as it does mucus signs. It causes mucus to dry up.
I'm not a doctor, but those are the two things that come immediately to mind for your situation. If you did not have a lowering temperature when your period started, then yours is an unusual case, because that is what usually happens.
