Understanding ASC-US Pap Smear Results: What to Expect

i had a CBC done all NORMAL but pap ASCUS first one abnormal i am so worried i lost weight a year ago and that was the time i had my pap went on diet by my wanting i lost 30 pounds but anyways do you think it can be cancer or pre cancer your help is needed   ................i have a obgyn app. an this will be my first to obgyn to one they have to blood and urine what do they do on blood what are they checking and urine too thanks for your input

I had an abnormal pap last year. When I had it repeated, everything was fine. Chances are, everything will be fine with you too. I gave you a site about ASCUS. Read the information there and let me know if you have more questions.

As far as the blood and urine tests go, they are probably doing a blood count and cholesterol test with your blood. They may also test for STDs. They are probably testing your urine for glucose, protein, and white blood cells. Glucose and protein in your urine can indicate diabetes. Protein alone can indicate kidney problems. White blood cells can mean you have an infection.
