Hi Holly,
If you let me know what your son's blood types are I'll do my best to interpret the meaning for you.

Hi Holly,
If one son is B+ and the other O+ it is possible that they have the same father - I cannot say for certain that they do without knowing your blood group and the father's blood group. If you have this information I could give you a more certain answer (although as there are only a few possible blood groups there is always the chance that the two possible fathers shared the same group).
Best wishes,
Sam
AnswerHi Holly,
I hate to say this, but if the father is AB (whether or not he is positive or negative doesn't matter), then the son who is O cannot be his.
If you like, I can explain how this is worked out. Everyone has two genes for every single feature, from hair colour to blood type. One of each pair comes from the mother and one from the father. In the scenario you gave me, the father has AB blood whilst the mother is O. O blood is recessive - that is, it is 'subordinate' to A and B blood. O blood will only be present when there are two copies - one from the mother and one from the father. As the father is AB, the baby cannot inherit O blood.
Father (AB)
A B
o: Ao Bo
Mother (O) o: Ao Bo
As you can see, there is no OO group.
I hope this helps,
Best wishes,
Sam
