Understanding Your Urine Test Results During Pregnancy

Hi samantha,
iam 8 months pregnant. recently i ve undergone urine tests. i ve pus cells 3-4/HPf
epethelial cells 4-6
RBC's-occasional
crystals-amorphous urate crystals seen.
Bacteria-stray microorganisms seen.

Hi there.  Based on the test results you have provided me, I'd say your results are normal.  All of the things present in your urine (pus cells, RBC - red blood cells, epithelial cells - skin cells, crystals, and bacteria) can be found in a normal urine, in small amounts, which is what your results showed.  BUT, if you have symptoms of a UTI (urinary tract infection), such as urgency and/or pain during urination, then your doctor could check you for a UTI with a urine culture.  If you have no symptoms, then I'd say that your results are normal.
