Ovarian Size & Ovulation Timing: What You Need to Know

A few days ago I went to a fertility clinic and they said I was getting ready to ovulate and my ovaries were 23cm and 25cm. How long after that should I be ovulating? Also, should I be having intercourse at a certain time of day? Thanks for your help in Ridgecrest, California!

Dear Ashley,

Thank you for your question.  Your ovaries are on the verge of ovulation.  It is not possible to know when you will ovulate because we don't know how long they were at their present size.  It will be within the next 24-36 hours, however.  I would recommend beginning intercourse tonight and continuing for the next four days, once per day, only one ejaculation per day.  Time of day does not matter, whatever is the most convenient for you.
