i had an abdomen xray from bladder to throat and it said everything was normal....my question is would that have picked up my ovaries? the dr said yes but imnot so sure
i worry because my mother died from cancer....im 50 year old and scared

Answeran abdominal x ray should take the ovaries but the best way to investigate the ovaries is either by an ultrasound, ct or MRI.
If your mom died from an ovary cancer or other you need to ask to be checked by a physical examination , ultrasound, ct ,MRI and tumoral markers, and you can even do a genetic investigation to see if you are at risk.
But if your doc says it was normal it might be, but do a pap smear every year , breast mamography every year and ovarien ultrasound.
