QuestionHi,
I'm just about to embark on an IVF treatment (2nd - first m/c). My thyroid check up came back with Low TSH, but normal T3 and T4. Some time ago I was diagnosed with Subacute Thyroiditis and I'm guessing my thyroid is not complete back in business. Anyway, my question is; in general should this mild hyperthyrodism affect my possibilty to become pregnant when doing IVF (everything else looks good like FSH)?
Many thanks for any input.
Helen
AnswerHello Helen,
Thank you for your question. It should not affect your pregnancy possibilities but can be a problem with pregnancy, among other things. The best case scenario would be to get your thyroid within the normal range before attempting pregnancy.
