QuestionQUESTION: I 33yrs and i am afraid i will reach menopause without having had a child of my own. I had a contraceptive needle twice in my life and only when i was 16 years of age. I never used any contraceptive method afterwards. I want a baby so much now. Can anybody help or advise. could my infertility be a result of the contraceptive i had twice when i was 16 years. If yes, how can i be treated for that effect now.
PLEASE HELP ME.
ANSWER: Hello Temble from South Africa,
No, your infertility problem is not related to the contraceptive injection that you had earlier. You need to undergo an infertility evaluation to find out what is preventing pregnancy. Please seek out a good infertility specialist for this. There are many in South Africa and some of the top infertility specialists in the world come from South Africa.

QUESTION: I'm financially disadvantaged and can not afford specialists. Can i get these type of assistance from government hospitals or clinics. If yes how do i put this to the health workers for assistance. I am desperate from having a child, and i think being poor will deprive me form experiencing what other women have without any hassle. Its painful.
AnswerHello Again,
I am afraid I do not know what the capacity is in the Government hospitals or clinics in South Africa. I am sorry that you cannot afford to see a specialist since that is what you need. You might want to talk to your public clinics and see what they recommend.
