AnswerIt is called a depolarizing neuro-muscular blocker, meaning that it binds to the receptor, and activates it, then blocks it from further activation from ACH. So when someone gets this medicine, IV, they go rigid for a few seconds, then are paralyzed and relaxed for the duration of the medicine, which is only a few minutes.
