Testicular Warmth: Causes, Concerns & When to See a Doctor

i have had a warming sensation in my right testicle off and on for the last three days.
i believe this may be some kind of infection.
should i see a doctor?
also, i have a damaged disk in my back which flares up from time to time.
i'm a engineer, so i sit at a computer all day,
i do not have a physical job.
i am a 40 year old male. fair health, type 2 diabetes, which i control with oral medication.
i also take collesterol & blood pressure med.
Daily  medication:
avapro 300mg - lower blood pressure
glipizide er 10 mg - type 2 diabetes
metformin hcl er 2000mg - type 2 diabetes
advicor 1000mg - cholesterol
multivitamin pack & aspirin
note: the advicor can cause a flushing reaction,
which i did have the morning this started.

Yes, it sounds like epidimitis which is an infection of the small appendage on the back of the testicle. Varicoele which is a varicose vein in the testicular area can often feel the same. See your doctor to be sure. OK?
